The primary factors that prevent individuals with disabilities from obtaining adequate employment are social in nature. Twenty-five years after the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act millions of Americans with disabilities still face discrimination and ignorance in the workplace. These individuals want to live productive lives and are often more committed and harder working than their peers, but myths, ignorance, and concerns about hiring people with disabilities often prevent employment from becoming a reality.

Our Disability Awareness Program aims to reverse decades of discrimination and unfair business practices. The program is based upon training developed by the Campaign for Disability Employment and the US Department of Labor. Our program educates businesses about the correct ways to treat and accommodate individuals with disabilities. We utilize group activities in a workshop format as well as providing our clients first with firsthand experiences so that they can gain understanding of what life is like for a person with a disability.
